Color Palette of the Week

It's time to start looking forward to the first signs of spring and today's palette reminds us that warm weather is just around the corner.

Easter 2012 by Nicole Stark Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill; Pattern Paper: American Crafts, Studio Calico, Echo Park; Stickers: Lily Bee; Tags: Basic Grey, Making Memories, Studio Calico, Pick Your Plum; Flowers: Making Memories; Brad: American Crafts; Die cut machine: Provo Craft; Designer Calendar: Cricut; Pen: Signo; Uniball; Mist: Tattered Angels; Other: buttons, thread

"The warm color scheme really reminds me of spring. I chose these photos from last Easter and paired them with supplies that fit into the color palette. I had so much fun pulling supplies together and it felt very freeing to approach a layout this way." -

Color Palette of the Week

Dressed to the nines with high heels and satin evening bags, this rich palette is perfect for every project, no matter what papercrafting style you prefer.

Sketch of the Week

It's always interesting to see how many different ways a sketch can be interpreted. Today, we have a sketch from SNR staffer Candace Lawlor who created the sketch and also completed a layout. Let's see how our staffers interpreted Candace's sketch. How much will they vary from her version?
Sketch by Candace Lawlor

First Glimpse of You by Candace Lawlor Credits Digital Kits: Just Because by Penny Springmann, Before I Was Your Mom - We Expected You by Traci Reed and Meghan Mullens, Grow by Erica Zane, A Beautiful Mess by Shawna Clingerman; Fonts: Appleberry, CK Becky

Jump by Vicki Robertson Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill; Specialty Paper: Recollections; Chipboard Letters: Me and My Big Ideas, Recollections; Buttons: Doodlebug, Dress It Up; Chipboard Swirls

Sketch of the Week

Unusual size sketches can sometimes stump even the most advanced paper crafter. If you find yourself struggling with a particular form of the sketch, try translating it into something a little more familiar.

Staffer of the Week - Monica Edwards

About Me: My name is Monica Edwards and I live on the Space Coast of Florida. I currently work at Kennedy Space Center, once the home of the infamous shuttle, and I love it. Although, not more than crafting!
I have two older children. My oldest is my boy Andre, 22, and my baby girl, Mariah, 19. I have two dogs, Jake and Nicholas, and if it wasn’t for them being dogs, I think they would scrapbook with me.
